Emily Guillow

Emily is an inspiring singer, songwriter and acoustic guitar artist who delivers a blend of pop, rock, country and alternative music.  She adds her own original approach of interpreting a song with a style that can reach out to a diverse audience.  Emily’s vocals range from the “soft and subtle” to a “high driving power” that commands an audience’s attention. Her singing is complimented by soft finger picking or complex chords from her acoustic guitar.

Emily’s stage presence is impressive considering that she is just 17-years old.  She began performing professionally at the age of twelve. These early performances included festivals, various private weddings and celebrations, charitable events, and the Next Generation Theater in Brewer.  At the age of fifteen, Emily collaborated with Gene Shields and Jude Ippoliti by providing the female vocals on the American Logger’s “Our Name is Pelletier” compact disc. At sixteen, Emily has embarked upon her solo career and presently hold’s a reoccurring gig at the Sea Dog Brewing Company in Bangor.

Emily began song writing at the age of twelve and composed the lyrics and music for her very first song, “I’m Fine”.  It was professionally recorded at My Thrills Studio in Winterport, but remains for now, unreleased.  She quickly followed up with her classic cheating song, “Don’t You Lie” and after being inspired at a live alternative rock show, she wrote “Faster And Faster”.  To date, Emily has written over ten original compositions and performs select songs during her shows.
